EBF via Breast vs Pump

My baby boy is 6 weeks old and has been breastfed from day one, however I have been exclusively or predominantly pumping for the past few weeks.  My sister just had her baby recently, and has been exclusively feeding at the breast, and insists this is superior to bottle feeding expressed milk, and that EBF means only fed breastmilk from the breast.  Is it true that pumping is somehow inferior to direct feeding at the breast?  If so, how?  And are babies still considered EBF if fed via pump and bottle?
