Castor Oil?

Question

Those who tried castor oil to induce labor:
1. How much did you take? Alone or mixed with anything?
2. Did it work?
3. If it did work, how long did it take for anything to happen?
4. Do you feel it started actual labor or just contractions that didnt lead to anywhere?

I took 1 tablespoon with Hawaiian punch, I started having contractions 2 hours later, and had my son 4 hours after that. I did run up and down stairs for like 15 minutes and had sex so it could have been a combination of all 3.

Please don't take it like these other girls are saying too. It's not safe for the baby and can cause them to poop in the womb. If they inhale it, it can cause a very bad lung infection which can be fatal.

Don't take it! I tried it before it don't work an it just makes you hurt an can be harmful to little one.

1 table spoon mixed with OJ. I pooped my brains out and my water later broke. My son was born 18 hrs after my water broke. If you are at lease 39 weeks I say try it but stay home in case you need to poop your brains out.

I tried it with my son and it gives u bad diarrhea and that's not always the easiest to control when u go into labor while ur trying to push a baby out but what I would recommend trying is primrose oil it's a pill in the vitamin section and it is used to natural soften ur cervix to push along labor naturally

Thanks everyone! I didnt know it could be harmful to the baby. I mean i knew it could have the same effects on you as laxatives but i didnt know it could effect little miss! Glad i asked before trying lol

I've never taken it to induse labor but some lady on here took it to induse her labor and it worked but the baby pooped in the womb and got sick. I wouldn't try it.
