Not telling people your pregnant?

Hello, I am 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my 2nd. Two months before this pregnancy I had an etopic pregnancy and had surgery. So now that I am pregnant again and everything seems to be going good my husband and I decided not to tell people we are expecting again just in case something happens.. I am torn! I feel like I am lying to people, I am having all day sickness and have been staying home a lot more then normal. I afraid my friends and family are going to be mad when we finally start telling people after 12 weeks.. I would like to know your thoughts?
