Face Wash?

Hello ladies! I've heard about how using face wash may be bad for your pregnancy, is this true??? I'm 9wks preggo and my acne has been REALLLLLY bad 😣😣 I want to go buy some neutrogena face wash or something lol please help !

I used neutrogena pink grapefruit scrub and had no idea it had salicylic acid in it, or even that I wasn't supposed to be using it! I'm 33 weeks and so far so good!

I use-proactive face wash because it is being washed off, you can't use other proactive stuff cause you can't leave anything on your face. After washing face I wipe with witch hazel. My face is clear and clean. I also keep my hair pulled away from my face and wear very little makeup. My husband even commented on how clear my skin is after reading how bad acne is supposed to be during pregnancy.

I use eminence products, they have worked great for my skin, and used of naturals ingredients I'm told you could safety ingest them which makes me feel safe using them!

I use a glycolic cleanser, my Dr said it's absolutely fine. Other products like creams that you leave on might be another story, but with cleansers they are being washed off so not really penetrating and soaking in.

Cetaphil is gentle and good for sensitive skin. Clean your makeup off first with a face wipe and then wash.

Most face washes are perfectly fine and actually good for your skin during pregnancy you'll need something due to changing hormones....I think prescription face washes are probably what they refer to. I'm using boots brand botanical one not sure if you have that but you can get ones from any health store that are all natural if your worried x

I think it all depends on the active ingredient in the face wash. I know my dermatologist told me to stop all topical ointments as soon as I was pregnant. I've been using soap and water.
