Scientific Studies on Ovulation Prediction
I have been tracking my bbt and have been a little worried this month because my temps didn't show I ovulated. I reveived a pos opk and EWCM though, so what am I supposed to believe?
I went to my trusty PubMed to look at some studies that have been performed.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24845657
The first one showed that bbt was not the primary way to check for ovulation. (CM and OPKs are the way to go)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11152915
The second one showed more directly that bbt just isn't as accurate as OPKs and CM.
There are SO many articles online, these are just two randoms I found, and honestly I only read the abstracts, but I will be researching it more later today. It made me feel a lot better about my funky bbt chart.
