Has anyone used a Doula?

If yes, did he/she make a big difference in your labor experience? Did he/she help you make sound/educated decisions during your LD?Was it worth the extra expense? Did your insurance help with the expense? Any information would help! Thanks

I have one, but am not due for 2 weeks. We actually were able to find a doula in training for very inexpensive ($150). I know experience is good to have, but we took 12 weeks of Bradley birthing classes and feel confident and knowledgable about birth. We just wanted a little extra support for me & hubby if he gets tired or overwhelmed. She's been through training classes and observed many doulas at other births, so I think it'll be worth it in the end.
