Apparently, you shouldn't be allowed to have children if you have had an abortion, if you're poor, if you suffer from mental illness, if you're a teen...how about IT IS LITERALLY NONE OF YOUR CONCERN. Stop being a judgemental, nosey, holier than thou asshole.

Have Depression, Have Anemia, Have Cancer in your family, Smoke, Eat avacodo, Drink, Juggle, Havw Moles, Have Paint on your left pinky toe, Have .02 kids already, Have A cat, Are single, Drink Tap water, Make less than 400,000 a year, Have Had a BigMac... and liked it, Have Licked a rock, Have Squished a bug, Think the sky is blue, Watch TV, Drink germ ex, Are married, Are in love with a squid, Wear Sombreros, Have one color walls in your whole house, Think girls are the devil, Or..... Have blinds instead of curtians..... Line up and pull your pants down for your sterilization stots!

Can we stop suggesting other people reproductive choices are our business. They're not

First of all, I don't think this poster was necessarily trolling to piss people off, indicating people with this condition should not have kids. How do we know he/ she doesn't suffer it themselves and is looking for advice? Maybe he/ she is on the fence about having kids and is wondering what it would be like...what prejudices they may have to deal with? I think those calling her names and jumping to conclusions should take a look at this post closer. Its a poll....not an accusation nor does it indicate her/ his opinion on the topic whatsoever. Secondly, nobody can dictate whether or not another person should or should not be allowed to have kids. Given the right situation, if someone is suffering a mental illness....team up with your doctor. Learn what this could mean for your lifestyle and learn what coping skills and adjustments you can do to make it successful! Anyone can do anything if you set your mind to it.

This pisses me off. I have anxiety. Bad. It affects me everyday. Yeah, sometimes i have trouble going to school, in public, etc. Its a struggle. But i get through it! How dare bitches like you think you have the right over my uterus because of an anxiety disorder. I know when the time is right i will be a damn good mother. ☺️ Should hateful nosey women like you be able to have children?

Just like many other mental illnesses, Agoraphobia has a spectrum that ranges from mild to severe and typically only those on the severe end of the illness are cripples by it and cannot/will not leave their houses, Those on the mild end can/do have relatively normal lives. I don't think it's the governments place to restrict who can and cannot have children.

I don't understand the question. Are you asking if we feel these people should be forcibly sterlized? Are you asking if we feel that it is somehow unfair that they can be fertile? Are you asking if we feel they are being selfish by procreating? Here's my question: Why are so many people concerned with the reproductive choices of other people?

I have agoraphobia, idk where it is exactly on the spectrum but I don't think it affects my raising my children. My aunt/guardian had it so severely when she was younger that she was unable to leave her home. She did what she had to, to get past it & went on to have 6 children....

I'm answering this as a person raised by a mother with agoraphobia, so no judgement... But my childhood was terrible because of it. I wasn't allowed to go to school, I was homeschooled. I wasn't allowed to play sports because God forbid you had to travel with them. I couldn't stay the night at friends houses. I was 17 years old before I even left my hometown. I was basically a prisoner under her mental condition. I am now 28, I have a five year old and am expecting my second due in a few weeks, and married. But I honestly think that if you want to have children you need to think about what your condition is going to do to their childhood because I know mine was full of resentment and hate.

Mental illness alone is rarely a reason to never have kids if they're wanted. The majority of mental illnesses can be kept under control through doctors care.
