Pregnancy or ovarian cyst?

I've been having unprotected sex for the last six months. We have been trying to have a baby, and recently have been trying harder than before to have one. I've heard myths before that if one ovary hurts more than the other or not at all it can be a sign of pregnancy? Does anyone have any feedback about this? Also I have had ovarian cyst but this is a differnt type of pain than the cyst.
