Taking progesterone vaginally? Maybe TMI

Today I got my bloodwork from 4 weeks, 5 days, and my hCG was 2599, so they said that was good, but said my progesterone was lower than average, so they put me on a vaginal suppository for now through 12 weeks. I got it home and I'm supposed to take it once every night. But it didn't come with an applicator. I'm just wondering how high it's supposed to go?  I got my finger in there and pushed it as far as I could reach, but I could still touch it.
