Hemorrhoids during pregnancy

What a lovely topic hey? I have been having some bathroom troubles lately and therefore, hemorrhoids :( I try to to strain or push to hard when I'm going to the bathroom but I still seem to get the painful bumps on the outside of my anus *sorry for the tmi! I'm almost 36 weeks and this seems to have gotten worse lately which sucks because starting tomorrow at my weekly checkup my Dr will be checking 'down there' and I'm scared she'll see...Ya u guessed it :( can u guys help me? Need tips to help the hemorrhoids go away faster or not appear at all! Please don't tell me I'm the only one with this awkward problem! :(
