Low HCG and bleeding?

So I took a pregnancy test a week ago: faint positive.

I was so excited but could hardly believe it so I took another 4 days later: darker positive.

That same day, I started spotting. It went from brown and light to red and somewhat heavy (light to medium period).

My husband took me to the ER at 3:30am and they said everything seemed normal since I wasn't having pain. Right before I left they gave me the results of my blood test and HCG was at 9. The doctor basically said expect the worst but hope for the best.

Getting another blood test in 2 days.

Anyone else experience this? What was the outcome? They said I could be really early in my pregnancy, but would my home tests have detected that early?

You would be amazed at how little those home tests can detect. I had a level of 2.7, and it faintly detected it.

Same thing happened to me. Took a test a week ago. Faint positive. 2 days later i spotted and it got slightly heavier for next few days. Mostly dark red clots falling instead of flowing. Went to er and my hcg was 10.2 and ultrasound didnt show a sac or anything that indicated pregnant. Doc said i either completely miscarried or wasnt prego at all. Follow up monday. I would have been 4 or 5 weeks

So people just don't product enuff hcg to be detected until later in pregnancy. Good luck

I had "low slow rising" hcg and had my main dr and er tell me i was miscarrying because ive been spotting since before missed period. Well now im 7w4d and saw baby yesterday with a beautiful 158 heart rate. Ob told me to take anything anotber dr says with a grain of salt. They arent specialists. Mine told me as long as im steadily raising no worries.

I know this is old, but what happened?? I’m in the exact same scenario. 4wks 5 days, bleeding and an HCG of 9. I’m still getting faint +’s on tests … my cervix is closed so I don’t know what to think

So any update. I know this is old. I was told because of urine tests (basically hpt at the drs) that I must have miscarried, as I am passing clots and negative test. I had three positive tests last week. Negative and bleeding this week. But it runs in my family to get negatives and bleed up to like 4-5 months :/ my aunt even had negative blood tests and argues with doctors at 4 months. Had a happy ad healthy baby so I am confused and dr. Wouldn't send me for further testing without a positive urine test/fully missed period.
