Does anyone know how much the MaterniT21 test cost?

Anyone that had the test done and had to pay for it because insurance didn't cover it. How much was it?

We knew insurance wouldn't cover. Drug rep told us most we'd pay is $125. We were billed $4800 with insurance covering zero. We called the 'peace of mind' number listed on the testing literature. Company said they will cancel the claim and we won't pay anything, so we'll see. Our test was called Progenity.

I'm frustrated because the genetic counselor told me as soon as she seen my insurance that it was covered. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail stating that my insurance didn't cover it.

My Doctor told me it was between $3,000-$4,000. My insurance would have covered it. I was told that since I was 35 when I got pregnant they wouldn't order it, but then the dr told me they could order it.
