Oh boy, come on guys. Common sense.

I try not to judge. I really really really try not to judge. I have my quirks. I know everyone has their quirks. But I am super surprised about how many legitimate questions there are about pregnancy and the eclipse tonight. I mean...come on...if you legitimately think that this will have any kind of effect at all on your baby then, I don't know, pick up a science book. I promise, PROMISE, that your baby will not be born with a cleft lip. And if it is born with one, I PROMISE that it is not because of the eclipse happening tonight. Cleft lips are either genetic or because you smoked or because you've been taking medications for things like epilepsy or because, sometimes, things just happen!!! There are less than 3000 babies born a year with cleft lips and the cleft forms EARLY early on. Like as early as 4 weeks pregnant. Before a lot of people even know they're pregnant! So calm down. Enjoy the view. I PROMISE you and your baby will not be affected by this eclipse.
