I used to date this guy who everyone thought I was with out of sympathy. There is no sure fire way to prove them wrong. They're gonna think what they want. Just do you and be happy. We dated for nearly three years happily. We just ignored what everyone else said. All that matters is you two are happy because you can't make everyone so might as well make each other happy.
