Crib w/changing table?

Question

I was planning on getting a 7 in 1 convertible crib without a changing table attached, and using a dresser with changing area. But, my grandmother in law is now giving us a very tall new dresser, which will save us a lot of money, so we can't use that as a changing table anymore.

My question is, is it worth all the extra $$$ for a convertible crib with changing table? Or could I just get by getting a changing pad and using it on the floor?

Definitely not worth the money!! Lol once the baby is old enough and can stand in the crib, if the changing table is attached to the crib, they end up pulling everything off of it!

We got one for our first that has the crib that converts into a toddler bed and full bed and a separate changing table that changes into two side tables later on. Well worth the money spent!

I never used my changing table.  I always just changed baby on my bed or on the floor.  At the very beginning when my babies were tiny, I used the changing table on our pack n play.

I had a changing table with both my kids but I barely used it I always change them on my bed or something like that a changing table gets hard to use once baby gets bigger they go to sqwerming around and stuff

Do you have to get a crib that comes with a changing table? I bet it'd be cheaper to buy a crib and find a used or super cheap Changing table. I always would opt for the dresser with changing pad but if you're being given one, I'd save the money

My friend let me have her changing pad n I just bought the cover for it. 
I don't think I'll use it that much just change him wherever. But my boyfriend wanted it so yeah

I don't like the cribs with the changing table attached. Changing a baby directly facing the baby is so much harder than changing them when they're sideways especially when they get a little older and they're legs are dangling  off the front kicking you in the stomach.

I have a month old baby and I would not bother with the changing table. Instead I would just get one of the changing pads and put it on something. It will be much more efficient that way!
