How do I get my boyfriend to go down on me?

My boyfriend and I had an issue a few months ago, because I had Bacterial Vaginosis, and it made my downstairs smell/taste not great. It's a very common bacterial infection in women that is simple to cure and normal. But when my boyfriend told me it didn't taste good like normal, I got all offended and self conscious. We talked it out, and I went to the doctor. Now I'm fine and he tried to go down on me about a month ago, but I got all nervous because of what happened those few months back. We talked it out, and we agreed that it would be fun to revisit it soon, but this was a month ago. I'm not very good at hinting, but I really want it. Any advice on how to get him down there??
