All my fears were put to rest this morning! I am exactly 10 weeks today and went in for my monthly check up. My doctor told me she was going to try and listen for the heartbeat but not to get discouraged if we didn't hear it. I saw the heartbeat at my first ultrasound at 8wk3d so I knew it was there. She put cold gel on my stomach and started listening... Nothing. She said "Let's try something. Cough 3 times for me and we'll try again." So I coughed 3 times and we tried again, within a few seconds she says "BABY!" She found the heartbeat and it was the best music to my ears! 170 bpm! Too bad hubby wasn't there, but he'll be there for when I go for the genetic screening in a couple weeks! Over the moon with happiness!
