Preview of labor 😖

Im 36 weeks and last night out of nowhere I started having severe lower abdominal and rectal pain to the point where I couldn't move or speak. I had this pain for about 30 minutes (I had a small break somewhere in that time) before it stopped completely. I had an appointment with my doctor this morning and told him what happened and he said I had probably gone into labor but then it stopped on its own. Has anyone ever had this happen? And if so did you have any more of these episodes? How soon after did the real thing happen for you? It was excruciating! And nothing like I expected labor to feel like. I mean butt pain? Really?! 😂
