Poppy seed muffins?

Can I eat a lemon poppyseed muffin? My mom thinks they are bad to eat during pregnancy. I am 24 weeks along. I tried to look it up online but found conflicting answers.  Thanks!

If it is bad during pregnancy, can someone tell me why? I would also like to know. They're my favorite!

I've eaten them no problem and have never been told not to or even heard of it. Only thing with poppy seeds is if you eat them 24 hours before a drug test you will fail. Not that they are putting anything harmful in your body just one of those things...
