All my friends are having kids, which is leaving me being the only one without a kid. I went to see my friend and her daughter today and she asked me when I was going to have a kid. I told her I wanted to wait at least 5 years, mind you I'm only 18! She asked why so I told her because I want to enjoy being a young adult and going on vacations and spending my money on myself and not having to take care of a tiny human before I have fully learned to care for myself without my mother's help. She called me irresponsible! How am I irresponsible? I realize what I want to do and I don't think it would be fair to bring a child into my life when I'm not ready too.
