Back labor??

What does back labor feel like??? Is it worse than normal labor? Details please!!!

I had back labour and I just felt like I was having SEVERE period cramps, but to be fair I don't think labour was half as bad as I expected and I was in labour for 18 hours so I fully experienced it xx

Back labor was worse than the contractions I felt in the abdomen, the best way I can describe it is someone hitting you in the back repeatedly with a 2x4.

I've heard you get it more with an anterior placenta and I have an anterior placenta so hopefully not ahhh 😣

Back labor is the worst feeling ever, I have never come across anything like it. I would take normal contraction over back labor any day out of the week. It a pressure on your lower back that hits all those nerves and when those nerves are hit it shoots pain all down you legs and through
Out your back. It is not a pleasant feeling and with both my labors I couldn't find a position that eased the pain. 😕 I'm sure this one will be the same.

I had back labor and front (if that's what it's called?) labor and it was awful. I was that person that was really excited for the labor&delivery process too (still am for baby #2). Back labor is definitely no joke though and wicked painful. I ended up getting an epidural, which I highly regret still to this day 4years later. This time, I know what kind of pain I'm up against and planning on dping hypnobirthing to hopefully avoid having an epidural again.
