I tried the Unisom/b6 last night

Erica
I can say that today since waking and moving I have felt less nauseous than usual. But as soon as I felt the Unisom kick in last night it was a complete disaster. I wanted it to be out of my system so bad. I felt completely drugged and so nauseous I couldn't even move my lips to respond to my cousin who was talking to me. I couldn't lift my phone to answer to my bf who was calling me. I felt paralyzed. I closed my eyes and breathed deep for over an hour and eventually fell asleep however I had night terrors and woke up SO nauseous and weak every hour. It wasn't until hoursssssss after the pills and waking up for good that I started to feel that my nausea was better than previous days. I don't know if the nighttime experience is worth it for me though. It was absolutely positively terrible. I hated the feeling! I told myself I will try taking less of the pill tonight and see if that's better, but if it isn't any better I don't think I'll take any of it again. Anyone else have a similar experience with the Unisom/b6 remedy? Very curious to know if I'm the only one who goes through misery with it before it makes anything better.

Not only do you need to take the tabs, not the gels, you also should only be taking half of a pill (12.5 mg of Unisom and 25 mg of B6). It sounds like you took way too much!

Oh, and if you happen to take more than 25 mg of B6, it's not that big of a deal...it's just a vitamin. So try, but cutting the pill isn't an exact science.

I took the tabs. Full dose. And took it 30 mins before I wanted to be asleep. I took 50 of the b6. I still felt drowsy in am and hard to get up but was able to eat and drink until 2 in afternoon when the effects wore off. There is a prescription that has both of these meds in it that is extended release- maybe that would help if the unisom effects you too much. My insurance just wouldn't cover it. And my MD said no to benedrl- so while others are suggesting it you may want to ask your doc.

You're taking it to benefit from the diphenhydramine - that's what helps the nausea. Diphenhydramine is also the main active ingredient in Benadryl. Maybe you should get some Benadryl instead. The Unisom might contain other sleep aids in it, and that might be what's kicking your booty. I'd look into it if I were you.

Take the sleep tabs not the sleep held. Diphenhydramine is also a safe drug but when taking unisom b6 remedy you want the doxylamine succinate - NOT the sleep gels

Diphenhydramine was originally developed for nausea, but they discovered it helped people with sinus issues, and also that it tends to make people sleepy. They decided to market it for those uses instead.
