Tell me there is hope !!

So I'll be 39 weeks this coming Sunday and Dr wants to induce me because baby is too big .... Any ways baby is not in the birth canal she hasn't dropped and I'm like 1 cm dilated . my question/concern is since she's not dropped yet can I have her vaginally ? I'm so scared to have a c-section just because the recovery process . please shed some light on me with your similar stories and you were able to have baby vaginally without complications etc !
