Clear sticky cervical mucus

I'm a bit confused because I don't get my period till October 2nd. My last period was September 5-10th ovulated on the 16-17 . Anyways I tested today NEGATIVE so not pregnant. But why is my cervical mucus clear and sticky. Does that mean I'm fertile. It's not regular cervical mucus because it's usually watery. This one isn't creamy at all, it's just clear and really sticky. Pull it between my fingers and it would literally expand . Lol any ideas if I should baby dance today?
