Career?

I love babies and pregnancy and young kids. Desperately hoping to find a job involving at least one of those things with only an associates degree at the most and I don't want to be a nurse or anything like that. Even though I thought lactation consultant looked great I've researched it and many sites said it would be difficult to get that job without being a nurse first.. Any thoughts or ideas on what I could possibly do with my life?
