Is witchcraft real?

So my husbands cousin told me her husband child's mom put voodoo on her husband. It was the strangest thing I've heard. She stated that because her heart was broken by him he will not be happy forever! The cousin stated that he has fallen ill..lost his job..car tore up..all within the month of finding out he had voodoo on him...I'm sorry but this sounds ridiculous to me what do you ladies think? Do you believe in voodoo?

Just for the record, Voodoo =/= Witchcraft. The two are not interchangeable, though both are very real. Though as for the situation you've described, it could very well have been because of a negative magical working of some sort, though I doubt it. Most anyone that knows enough about magical workings knows that what you put out comes back times three, and wouldn't risk a working like that. But it's not impossible.

The reason why we don't (or shouldnt) curse people is because it comes back to us. Why? Because everything has a price and karma is a bitch. So if this was actually a witches curse, then the witch who cast it is experiencing everything your cousin is. So unless your hubby did some seriously fucked up shit to that woman (enough to where she wouldn't care if she had all this stuff happen to her - and then some) then he isn't cursed.

Mind over matter. It only started happening when he found out about it. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. He believes in it so when he found out, he believed bad things would start happening. And they do, because most people start thinking "it's just going to go wrong anyway," "why even try," things like that, and they end up sabotaging themselves and seeing the "curse" in everything that happens.

voodoo is very real and originates from Haitian culture. it was originally good but alot of people have used it for dark practices. a voodoo doll itself isn't evil just a mere vessel for the the spirit servants to carry out their job,  it's the person using it and motives that can make the vessel evil, it can be used as good. Voodoo is a misunderstood practice alot of Haitian and west Africans use voodoo as in a form to ask the spirits in aid of healing the sick . I am fascinated by voodoo my ancestors have practiced it so I study the practice

My dads friend was ill with flu/pneumonia symptoms and wasn't getting better with meds - then he was told his wife's family in Mexico put a curse on him - he went to a witch doctor and they confirmed it, not sure if they reversed it or gave him something to ingest but after that mtg he puked black tar-ish liquid for two days and then he woke up completely fine. This is coming from a very honest and genuine man. So crazy.
