Boyfriend of 2 Years and I Split. Need advise ASAP!
Need help ASAP!
This is a long one, but bare (?) with me...
When I met my ex, we were both in college and we sort of rushed into things but we hit it off so quickly and we lasted 6 months without any issues. We've been on and off and there was a point where he cheated on me when (*insert Ross Geller voice here*) "we were on a break" with a girl that was friends with his roommate. I always knew he was a BIG flirt and he's admitted to flirting with other people. It took it not so well and my BPD kicked in to the max. I was in therapy for a month. After that, (with the OK of my therapist) I talked things through with him and we got back together. We began having problems again when I (out of stupidity) began talking to a guy on Tinder (I was with friends when I joined and it seemed like a fun idea) and I got caught. For the record: I did not sleep with him. I could not get myself to do so.
During our last months together, he had been pushing me to do things for myself. Get my drivers license, get a car all so we could get an apartment together. I brushed it off and we continued to go on with our lives.
About 3 weeks ago, I got a babysitting job that doesn't allow me to see him as much as I used to. With all my free time I got to work on things for myself. I began with getting my drivers incense. Around this time was when we argued about something stupid that I can't even remember and he said that we shouldn't be together anymore. Not in his exact words, but he said he was afraid that I was going to back out of the things I say and he'd be stuck with the aftermath. Basically said that he doesn't trust me anymore or enough to stay with me. I realize that I messed up in the past and I have apologized. I have even started to get everything together like he asked me to. But I know for a fact that he still loves me and I still love him.
We've known each other for nearly two years and I don't want to let this go.
