Virgin problems

I am 16 and my dad has given me the birth control talk. I didn't really think I would want to have sex but I found a guy that I want my first time to be with. The only problem is I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone's business. Apparently using birth control and/or having sex makes you a slut. What should I do?
