Not sure what to call this topic

So like this morning while my husband was fingering me to get in the mood, he said my cervix was low and soft. I'm not supposed to ovulate until like Saturday. I couldn't check the cm cause we were doing stuff and I have fingernails so I can't check it. Any suggestions on why it's low? We are ttc and does this mean I'm ovulating?
