Clot on cervix

I started spotting red and went to the emergency room. After an exam I was told I have a clot on my cervix. They did an ultrasound but it's too early too see anything. My hcg test showed my levels went up like they should. I'm bleeding a little more today but they were poking around between the exam and ultrasound. He said the bleeding may get worse. I was told a threatened miscarriage which is what anyone with abnormal bleeding during pregnancy is told. Has anyone been told they had a clot on their cervix and how did it turn out?
