Birth story

Shunita
The night of 9/20 I was having cramps all night but it was nothing to bad. I went to work on 9/21 and was having contractions all morning at work. I was taking things slow but was still working and walking around taking sit downs during contractions. I'm a supervisor at Walmart. I went to lunch and timed my contractions they were about 5 minutes apart. I decided not to go back to work from lunch and came home for a couple hours and they did not stop coming. I went to the hospital around 8 something and they checked me I was 3 cms but was not in labor. My blood pressure was high and I was 37 weeks 5 days they decided to go ahead and let me deliver. I got set up in a delivery room and started on some magnesium & blood pressure to try to get it down along with antibiotics. I asked for some pain meds and was given something mild that didn't last long. Soon they started me on some pitocin and stronger pain meds and I slept the rest of my labor. I didn't choose to get an epidural. The catheder irritated me the most! My water was slowly breaking I thought the catheder was in wrong lol. The broke the rest of it to get the process going. I woke up out my sleep trying to get out the bed to go use it felt like I had to poop. The nurse was like oh that may be the baby and checked I was ready to push. I pushed for about 2 hours before my baby boy was born! 6 lbs 7 oz we stayed in the hospital from Monday night until Friday trying to get my bp under control.
