Has anyone done ivf? Help please

What is the process like from beginning to end? I heard there are self given shots?  This is our next consideration.   Any advice welcomed

As far as the shots, you will have to give yourself shots and will have to have a partner assist with the "trigger" shot as it is on the rump. I was initially totally freaked out by the shots, but they give you a shot class and you "practice" during the class. The needles are very small and honestly a mosquito bite bothered me more. You end up giving yourself so many shorts that after the first two days it ends up being routine. I know it seems scary, but in the grand scheme of things it's worth it.

The biggest take a way I can say is to stay positive. I won't say to relax, I hated when people said that because I was excited and nervous and freaking out and the furthest thing from relaxed. But be and stay positive; even on the roller coaster of hormones that you are injecting yourself with, is seriously key to the whole situation to stay positive.

And speaking of hormones just be aware that you're going to be all over the chart! It's like PMS times ten. I am normally happy go lucky, but not during IVF. So make an agreement with you partner that things said during this process are waiverable. 😋
