How do I tell him??

I have had feelings/crush on this one guy for like a year, he's really cute and we don't really speak, we just have mutual friends in common. Now on his Facebook page he's got these pictures of him with this one girl but my friend who knows him said that's not his gf, but could they be getting serious? Have I missed my chance? I just never know what to say to guys 😩 has anyone else had this experience, I would just like to hear you guys opinions
