Natural birth in hospital...
So, I will be doing my first pregnancy with a natural birth. I can't afford to do it in home, and on top of that the only midwife in the area is booked.
Which means I have to do this in a hospital..
How many women on here have done natural birthing in the hospital??
I was a little dismayed because they don't have any tubs. Only showers. Tubs help me relax, I also know they are going to make me wear that stupid hospital gown... And I'm unsure of this particular hospital but I know most don't allow eating or drinking during labor. Which is upsetting because natural birthing can be quick, or can take a while.. A lot of places only let you eat ice chips...
I'm hoping if request it they won't hook me up to anything.
Ladies what were your experiences?? Did they pay attention and care about what you wanted in a natural birth? Or were they pretty flippant about it and did what they wanted anyway??
