Virginity?

So I am 17 and I am a virgin but I've noticed that sometimes I feel that I want to just get it over with while other times I feel like I should keep it close and only give it to someone I love or at least have a deep connection with. Some people I've talked to say as long as it's what I want then just do it while others tell me it's emotional and is important. I personally struggle with body image issues and am generally ashamed of my stretch marks and cellulite as well as body hair, I sometimes can't shave down there due to having such sensitive skin. Some guys have said they don't care but I am still so unsure. Should I wait until I'm completely sure? Will I ever feel 100% sure? Thank you

Hi I'm 17 too. I say wait until you have an emotional connection with someone. My boyfriend lost his virginity to someone that he barely knew, and then had sex with a bunch of other girls he barely knew except for his ex girlfriends. I lost my virginity to him. He told me that it's different when you actually love the person you're doing it with, that it's much better. So I say wait.

Oh sweetie! I really advise you to wait. Losing it to just any guy is something you will end up regretting when you find that special someone. You're gonna wish you would have waited. Plus the first few times aren't even close to what everyone describes sex as. It's painful. Wait until you are with someone you love or have a deep, emotional connection, or both. Don't rush into it. Oh my goodness. Are we the same person? This is exactly how I felt. There would be days that I would think I'd have sex with anyone just to get it over with, but in the end I'm glad I waited. I was casually dating a guy for a few months before I met my current boyfriend. I had made hints of sex to guy 1 for a while, but nothing ever happened. Thank god, because that would have been miserable. But as soon as I started dating my boyfriend I just knew he would treat me right in every way. He was so respectful and careful and understanding that I was a virgin and wanted me to be comfortable.  It was an incredible blessing that it was him instead.

I still believe that virginity is a social and religious construct that can mean whatever you want it to. Make it special, or don't. But do what's right for you.

Virginity means something different to everyone. Don't think that loosing it to someone that you don't have a 'deep connection' with will mean you'll regret it! But on the other hand you may, it really depends on how YOU as an individual person handles it. I lost mine when I was 15 or 16 to someone I was well aware of didn't care about me in any long lasting deep way and the feeling was mutual, I still to this day do not regret it because it was a choice I made consciously but these women are also right! If you beleive virginity is special then wait and make sure you feel 100% positive with a steady loving person. In the end, as I said before, it comes down to you.

Sweetie I was 14 when I lost mine. I was in love with him since I was 9 and he was 11. Come to find out we slept together for 14 months and then when we broke up, he went on to fuck anything that walked past him, and so did I. I'm 25 now married to my 3rd husband (my last time though! Lol) and both he and I have slept with too many people to count. :-( I'm not ashamed of it but I do wish I would of waited longer. Be patient, it'll happen when it does. :)

No I wouldn't give it up. And you being a virgin guys LOVE virgins so you that won't change their mind knowing your a virgin so don't think that. Make sure you truely care about this person you loose it with and also make sure he truely truely cares about you because most of the time you fall head over heels for that guy trust me learned from experience

Don't just give it up, I'm still a virgin & this thought has crossed my mind hundreds of time but just like you I always think but what if it's important. I think people value "virginity" too much, but I still don't think I'd want to lose it to just anyone now that I've fallen in love. He's been almost my first everything so far & I'm so prepared to losing it to him. I've made him wait almost a year and a half lol & I know for a fact how deeply he feels about me. To be honest, I knew a long time ago but I was doubting it and got too scared. So I think that when you know without a doubt in your mind that you love that special person as much as he loves you, then THAT is when you should do it. Don't rush it, there's no point. It's going to happen eventually, so why not try to make it as special as can be & with someone you trust?
