What To Eat Before Glucose or Gestational Diabetes Test

My appointment isn't till 3:00 in the evening!  What should I be able to eat a couple hours to hold me over before hand.

You can't fast for a 3pm appt. If you eat around 12pm you should be fine. Low to no carbs or sugar though. Stick with proteins..chicken, fish, veggies

My doctor told me to eat what I'd normally eat. If you have gd, I'd going to show up regardless. Eat normally.

**Some doctors ask you to fast. Call your doctor asap so you know.

I was told not to eat or drink anything before. See if you can go in earlier if you are feeling hungry already.

I totally forgot I had mine and ate life cereal. I still passed, not really sure how.

I had ate Chinese food before taking mine. They never said anything about not eating. And I passed mine!

I was told you don't need to fast BUT just don't eat anything an hour before test. So have breakfast and lunch as normal!!

You're not supposed to eat when taking those test, unless things have changed but you should call your doc to confirm
