Do you think Controversy Corner should only be for controversial topics about women's health?

I've noticed this for a while now, but I usually keep quiet. Anyway it seems that whenever we have super controversial topics here, there seems to be the question of why such topics are posted on glow/nurture/eve. I feel like a lot of topics discussed here are cool and interesting. And while I'm totally down for talking about women's  health, we do have male members of the community, and I think that debating about politics and whatnot  are just as important. (As long as we are civilized and respectful.) It's clear that many don't feel this way however. So I'm just curious, should we only discuss controversial women's topics, or should we be allowed to talk about anything controversial (provided that we aren't breaking rules)? 
Sorry if my post is inappropriate. I'm always interested in things going on here and make posts about them. But if this is breaking rules, please feel free to delete.

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse when I bring this up, but I really think CC being a default group is where a lot of the gripe with the topics discussed in this forum come from. I love CC for the debates ranging on all kinds of issues, and especially for those instances where I learn something about politics or social issues I never knew before.

The people who complain about the kinds of topics happening in CC would probably not seek out this community if it wasn't a default. They want this app for a specific purpose and only want community topics that pertain to it- which is fine and understandable. But so much of this problem, I think, would be avoided if members could search out this group and opt in instead of people having to repeatedly explain to other users who don't get CC how to leave.

To be honest I only still use this app for CC. Some days it's completely boring the same topics are being dicussed over and over again, many of which are over womens health. There's just not a lot of dicussion to be had. It's bad enough we seem to have so many that think we have to limit ourselves to that just because A. They didn't read the CC rules, or B. They think it's a tracking app, so they're assumptive. Thus, we get several of the same topics each day. Which is very boring and limiting. Even political issues become limiting. How many gay related posts are there? Abortion, before it was banned? Who's going to be the next president?. . .

I think we need to widen the pool rather than enclose it. There's hundreds of other rooms to talk about selfies, periods and sex ed.

I like that CC is for any controversial topic. I probably wouldn't ever have become involved in the community if it weren't for CC being about all issues because I am not TTC or pregnant and don't have children so I can't really contribute to most other rooms in Glow.

I love controversy corner as is, just wish people could choose to leave the group so there wouldn't be so much whining about it not being pregnancy or women's health related.

Cc posts are not just about women's health though so I'm not really sure what you're asking. There are posts in cc that do not relate to women's health at all.

When I see a topic I don't care about or I believe to be a waste of time, I just don't participate. Its CC its meant for controversial topics, not just women health and what have you. I 100% agree that some topics have just been beaten to death, but I suppose thats just life. I would like to see some newer topics. Or at least one that isn't an open source for bitching about the same personal no one should care topics.

No! I think people should quit getting so offended by what's posted in CC. There's only so much discussion we can have about our ovary's!
