Anyone else worried about labor??

I'm pregnant with our second and I'm surprised I'm scared of labor after already gone through it! Haha. It seems like a lifetime ago though (2009).

I was 3 weeks early and induced with our first and I'm scared this time around to go into labor on my own. I worried that my labor will be fast and I won't be able to get an epidural (I found out the first time that I like those 😉).

When I was induced I was given (according to my mom) a small amount of pitocin and was only in labor for 6 hours.

Four out of five deliveries for my mom were super quick (some less than an hour) and even though she is someone else and every pregnancy is different I really don't want that to happen to me.

I hate pain, can't stand it. So why am I pregnant? Because I can't wait to start growing our family. Somehow I just know in the moment, God will have my back and get us through. (The epidural won't suck either) ;)

I'm worried about going quickly with my second as well. I labored on my own with my first, but he came pretty quickly. Like, water broke on the way to the hospital almost didn't get the epidural quickly (and I was 39 weeks). But you know what, even though we want the epidural, if we don't get it, we won't care. Because in that moment, you're only going to be focusing on seeing your beautiful baby!

I would be worried but I'm going to have a c-section so I know what to expect. I know it could be completely different this time around but with my first I was terrified of the surgery because I didn't know what I was getting into

I absolutely hated the epidural. So I'm going all natural this time. I was trying to last time but I got freaked out and asked for the epidural at the last minute. So I know going all natural, I can't be scared! Fear slows the whole process down and makes it more painful because your body is more tense. So I'm just trying to think positively about the whole thing!

I have a spinal fusion and am unable to get an epidural or spinal block. Delivery will be either natural or a c-section where put under. Really hoping all goes well and I can deliver naturally!
