At six weeks pregnant I had a medically induced miscarriage with the use of the abortion pill, mifepristone and misoprostol. I am a student with a part time job, 25yo and unmarried, by no means was I ready to have a baby. I was an emotional wreck after the abortion/miscarriage and felt empty, with heavy grief. I wanted my baby. Ten days after the abortion my boyfriend and I had sex with a condom. I really, really think that condom broke! The following day I began my period so I thought there would be no way I could be pregnant. Now, I am four days away until my next period and feeling pregnant again! I thought maybe it could just be PMS but the pregnancy test was positive. Are these residual HCG levels being detected from the previous abortion or is this a new pregnancy? I hope it's a new pregnancy because I'm keeping this one! I will be embracing this blessing and adjusting my life to fit this miracle.
