1 cup a day is safe according to everything I have read. Before I was pregnant, I would have 1 maybe 2 a day. When I first found out I was pregnant  I would have 1/2 - 1 cup because I was afraid of the withdrawal headaches. Surprisingly enough I didn't get headaches. I know that's not the case for everyone. But to me it was worth it to try to ditch the caffeine!

I drink a LOT of caffeine so I asked my doctor what I should do now that I am pregnant, and she said to just cut back slowly, because caffeine withdrawals really aren't worth it. It won't hurt the baby, as long as you aren't getting extra espresso shots or anything.
