Unusual spotting..

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Usually I have a regular period, but ova the past 2 mths I haven't had a normal period. I've been experiencing spotting for a week & then stops for a week or 2 & I start spotting again. Anyone else had this problem or would know wat could possibly be causing this problem.
