Best time to get 3D/4D

Hey mamas! I'm 26weeks and my husband and I are thinking about getting an elective 3D ultrasound. I've heard you want to wait until you're in your third trimester so they don't look so alien like but don't want to be too far along because they run out of room quick and the pictures aren't the best. When did you get yours and do you think the pictures are good or should you have waited another week or two? Thanks ladies!!
