Can't reach orgasm with vibrator

So I've been using a vibrator for months now and while it feels spectacular, I never seem to reach climax. Just yesterday I felt this warmth build up internally in my stomach and it started to diffuse through my body but then it stopped. Could that be what an orgasm feels like when it is just starting to build? I would think my vibrator could do the trick but it hasn't. Any tips?
