Baby shower or not?

So I'm italian my husband is from San Diego, we are in North Carolina where he is stationated, so no close friends here. I knew 4 girls who lived here so i was going out with them before i got pregnant and then they started avoiding me. I don't know if i want the baby shower or not! My husband says i should do it, so they will "pay back" all the favours i did to them without receiving a thank you, (like keeping a dog for 6 months when i was supposed to watch the dog for 3 days, helping them move etc etc). The point is they disappointed me so much that i don't want to see them anymore. What should i do? Suck it up and invite them and try to be nice to them? Invite only my hubby coworker that i've only met once or not do it?! 😫😫
