Pregnant with Iron Deficiency Anemia
Anybody else get Iron Infusions/IV's while in their second trimester? I was close to needing a blood transfusion a few months ago, so they have been keeping an eye on me through this pregnancy with blood work once a month. They told me I need an infusion during my second trimester. I am 14 weeks tomorrow. I get 250ml of ferritin over the length of an hour. I want to be assured this is normal and my baby will be okay. I real that iron deficiency anemia can cause preterm labor and small babies.
