Best pain relief in labour?

I'm a ftm, 36w 3days. 
Trying to write my birth plan, would love some experienced Mums to advise. (my own mum had an induced c-section). Im also from the UK, so if there's anything I might have missed please comment!! ❤️

I tried to go all natural but I wasn't dilating at all. I was stuck at 4cm with god awful contractions. I decided to get an epidural after almost 12 hours of labor. It sped up my labor and allowed me to get some rest before pushing. I was still able to push with my contractions as I felt the pressure. After, my baby latched on and I was able to get up after the hour of kangaroo time. The only weird thing was that my right leg felt like it had fallen asleep. I was still able to walk on it and it any away within 75 minutes of giving birth.

I had pethidene if that's spelt right lol and gas n air but on second not much as had him at home found being stood while having contractions helpt bring head down quicker but it's what pain your body can cope with you have to go with what it tells I'm due twins in a few weeks naturally and would prefer gas n air but know there'll try and push for epidural
