Setting for a diamond- What do you prefer?

Question

I got a really nice diamond today, and I wanna wear it as centerpiece in a ring. 
But I'm not sure what setting I should choose... The stone is 0.3k.
Since it's an important memorial gem, I really don't wanna loose it... going to be worn daily.
Any experiences?

The more prongs the better. I have a round cut solitaire but only 4 prongs in a basket type setting. Something with 6 prongs, while not always as atteactive, will keep the stone safest. If this isn't an option jst have your stone checked regularly for looseness.
