What do you ladies think??

Question

Came across this on Facebook, was wondering what you ladies have to say on the subject. I myself am Hispanic, fully Dominican my son's father is as well. I have never dated anyone that wasnt hispanic, so I dont know much about the subject personally... But I have to admit I have always gotten a lot of attention and compliments from Black men. Mainly about my fair skin, "Good hair" and curves. And more than once have been fed the " We'd make some cute ass babies " comment as a pick up line... All aside I have to admit I've seen some extremely adorable mixed kids.

Sometimes it can be a little weird it seems like people take that as an accomplishment which is fine. But when I hear guys saying they don't date dark skinned girls because they want a mixed baby it gets weird. Guys will even say certain dark women are "cute to be dark" but still say they wouldn't date them just because they are dark and their goal is to have a mixed baby.

i just can't seem to find the line between aesthetic preference and fetishization.. i've commented something on glow before saying how i think mixed kids are cute (i'm expecting a mixed baby myself) and was told it's fetishization. i honestly just think the combination of two cultures/skin colors/hair types make for attractive people.. can someone explain where the line is drawn?

Who you fall in love with shouldn't be based on color.  That being said, my niece is half white-African American and the cutest little girl!  I am fascinated not only with her but my own future children as you really cannot know what to expect!

Why is it only considered a fetish if it's an attraction to someone of color?? I do not think its a fetish if you're attracted to certain features but it can be considered a fetish if you're attracted to someone because of their race's stereotype. Such as when some guys think that Asian girls are weaker and that's the only race they continue to date. Now that is completely ridiculous and creepy.

Those are two pretty little girls. I think you can go too far with picking your mate based on the way your kids would look though. It's a little weird.

But on the other hand, I love lots of things about my OH, and one of those many things is his ethnic mix (Native American and Irish) and I hope we have babies that look like him... So there's that!

I don't really feel any way to this. My wife is pregnant and our child will be mixed. More of a rare mix than the common everyone speaks of.
