Should I do a baby shower??

I had my first child at 18 and I had a small shower nothing big. I was young and i didn't want it but I appreciate the effort my family came some friends. With my second I didn't have one I bought my own stuff family did too I just didn't want one. This is my 3rd my lil cousin(she's like my sister that I never had) she thinks I need to have one because I haven't had a real one. She thinks I deserve it so does my bf. I just feel I didn't have one for my second you know but I don't know what do you ladies think. When should I start my registry? He wants to start now so we're prepared.
