Can you get rid of a UTI without having to go to the doctor?

I think I have a UTI because I seem to get them right after a long time of not having sex and then having sex. I just wanna get rid of it now. I don't have no off time to get off work.

I have a condition that causes me to get recurring UTI's. Water, not cranberry juice! Cranberry pills are good. They don't have all the acidity and sugar, which can make the UTI worse. Hope you feel better, but if you get a fever (or it persists)-- go to the doctor. OTC meds and water won't help at that point.

Cranberry juice does wonders! Also you can buy cranberry supplement pills OTC. AZO urinary pain pills seem to be most effective for me, those are also OTC.

I had to see a urologist coz I was getting recurrent uti's and he just told me to drink loads of water n it will flush it out also I can get something for it in a pharmacy or try cranberry juice but he told me it has to be pure cranberry juice without all the added sugar and crap! X

If I feel one coming on (I have lived with these since highschool and I think I finally outsmarted them) I drink as much water as my body will let me and try not to pee until I'm certain that I have to (not just a few drops because that can make it worse) it also helps avoid them. After you have sex, try to pee as much as you can, even a little goes a long way. And then drink about a glass and a half of water. I've gotten maybe 3 in the last 2 years when I used to get them nonstop (I had 2 a month for about a year and had to go to a uroglist or however you spell it and I actually have bad damage to my bladder because of them) drink LOTS OF WATER.

If I notice the beginning stages of a uti I just pee literally anytime I feel the need to... And with a uti its frequently but drops of urine lol but it's worked every time even when there has been blood in the urine.

I get them if I don't pee straight after sex lol! I went to the docs once and got antibiotics but ended up with an allergic reaction to them so, I usually just drink loads of water and eat fruit. X
